There was a fair amount of creepy in Kamen Rider Kiva, however I had to narrow it down because if I discussed all of them, this would end up longer than it is. I started typing this as part of my other review of my thoughts on the series but then it soon evolved into something else so here I am now listing some of the creepy or weird moments from Kamen Rider Kiva. This is in no particular order.

Ryo Itoya and his little side kick Noboru Kuramae

The one guy who personifies creepy in this series has to be the Spider Fangire known as Ryo Itoya in his human form.

He kidnaps Yuri and tries to marry her or something and then when he fails at life with Yuri, 20 years later he starts obsessing over Megumi, Yuri’s daughter. I know their human forms don’t age but if he was in his twenties or older while Yuri was alive then he’s about twenty years older than Megumi and he could be old enough to be her father or her grandfather. That doesn’t stop him because he kidnaps her as well and tries to do the same thing he did to Yuri to Megumi, but he fails at life again.

I’m not exactly sure if he lives here

 But I wouldn’t be surprised

 If this was the place he called home.

Brief Side Note: Looking back on Kamen Rider Kiva everything makes sense. There’s a lot of thinking to be done after the conclusion of the show but Kiva is like a jigsaw puzzle one of those complicated ones with like a thousand pieces and they’re all tiny pieces. You just have to put them together.

I went on that random tangent because it helps explain the Spider Fangire. I literally had no idea why he was important other than to be annoying and creepy. I thought he had no storyline and I completely forgot when they killed him off. It doesn’t help the creepy and annoying but it helped solve the ‘no story’ issue.

Anyways, back to the creepy…  There are random times when he’ll laugh… or something with one of his two puppets or he’ll have both on while randomly laughing.

From Episode Six when Ryo kidnapped Yuri.

As if Ryo wasn’t creepy enough with his obsession with Megumi (who he kidnaps because he never got over Yuri, her mother) he acquired a sidekick at some point. 

He looks harmless doesn’t he…?

Well this harmless looking dude is actually the Sheep Fangire (known as Noboru Kuramae in his human form) and he’s obsessed with Megumi too. Ryo recruited him to stalk Megumi so because he wanted to marry her. However since this guy was obsessed with her as well… he got jealous and decided to stop him… only to tell Megumi that he’s going to marry her.  

And then this happens…

He wants a soulless bride, so his wife would be a zombie. He wants to marry a human, kill her, and then turn her into a zombie. Best plan ever. As usual this guy fails and is defeated in episode six. But that’s not the end of the creepy spider guy. He lasts for another four episodes, (eleven and twelve then he disappears until episodes twenty-five and twenty-six) but his creepiness increases with each episode.

That god damned laugh, he always does it but no idea why he 

has to laugh so obnoxiously... 

It doesn't affect Nago though... 

He tries to kill Wataru (while he's still in Kiva form)...

Only to reappear in Episode 12 to do this:

And then Nago does what we all wanted to do when we first heard Ryo’s laugh…

Bitch slapped…

In the last two episodes he’s alive for, Bishop discovered he’s obsessed with Megumi… and tells him to do what he has to do in order to complete his task of destroying the ‘traitor.’  I’ll get to that bit of hypocrisy in a little bit but first this clip.

This is really because I found it hilarious... 

One last thing... did anyone else notice the letters S-E-X is spelled out... sort of... it could also be S-O-X but I really think it's sex...

Jiro: AKA the Cup Sniffer

Jiro is one of the arms monsters in 2008 storyline, but before he became a weapon to help Kiva he had an important role in the 1986 storyline. He is the last of the wolfen race because Rook killed everyone in one of his time plays.

To be fair to Jiro the cup sniffing could be explained by the fact that he feeds off humans as well. He targeted customers to the Café mald'amour and began eating them because he’s not really a human. However that doesn’t make the cup sniffing any less creepy!

And the only reason he cares for Yuri is because he wants to use her to repopulate the wolfen race. Well does he plan on having interbreeding relationships? His offspring will be half human as well as half wolf. Unless the Wolfen race is half human as well then it really wouldn’t matter if Yuri had his babies. I’m over analyzing this.

Giant Chandelier 

So at some point in Kamen Rider Kiva… this happens… 

I don’t know what that is, I don’t remember why it happened and I don’t really want to know the answers to either of those issues. It just shows up awkwardly during a fight. No it’s not explained as to why this thing just shows up.

Bishop: Swallowtail Fangire

My first impression of this guy was that he’s one of those creepy but kind of hot guys. Don’t ask why that’s just my impression… and then later on in the series… this happens…

If that’s not creepy enough then here’s another picture.

This creepy side comes out because Bishop decided to kill Mio. Taiga (the prince soon to be king) planned on marrying her, however she loved Wataru. It was stated in earlier episodes that the ceremony between the king and queen isn’t really about love it’s because well the Fangire race needs to survive and has to have a king. Well Maya, Wataru and Taiga’s mother had two babies one with the former King and one with Otoya. They’re both qualified to be King but Wataru initially refused… until Mio died. Stuff happened and then Taiga found out what Bishop did and he rightfully kicked the shit out of Bishop. Then Bishop threw a temper tantrum and he wanted to be king because he couldn’t see why Taiga treated him like crap after serving him for so long… That was where I stopped feeling any sort of attraction and realized he’s an idiot. 

I can't help but think that some of the motives for people doing a complete change in personality and what not are completely stupid. Seriously Kengo toughened up because he made situations a million times worse than they already were. Bishop flips shit because he killed Mio and he knew he loved her. He saw how angry Taiga got when he thought Wataru killed Mio did he believe by telling Taiga the truth he'd be off the hook? If so then he's an even bigger idiot than I thought.
